El 16 de julio es la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora del Monte Carmelo.
Este año queremos empezar a tener mas eventos Carmelitas en español para que nuestra comunidad pueda participar.
La celebración empezó el día 7 con platicas relacionadas a Nuestra Señora del Monte Carmelo y la Orden Carmelita. Es una bendición que la Orden Carmelita Seglar pudimos participar con platicas e información a nuestra comunidad, así como también tuvimos la oportunidad de escuchar las platicas de P. Jose Luis y su sabiduría en ingles y español.
El 15 de julio tuvimos la procesión como otros años; empezando el el Food City y terminando en Santa Cruz. Gracias a Dios tuvimos una maravillosa experiencia este año. La Orden del Carmelo Seglar en Español tiene el estandarte de la Virgen del Carmen el cual fue bendecido y lo pudimos usar en la procesión como debe de ser. Gracias Casa Maria por donar el estandarte.
Y no puedo dejar de hablar de otra hermosa experiencia: P. Godfrey bendiciendo los escapularios y el pueblo participando alrededor del altar, como una sola familia que somos.
Fue hermoso ver, como poco a poco la comunidad hispana a podido ir participando cada vez mas en los eventos Carmelitas.
La O.C.D.S. en español espera poder tener mas eventos en español para que nuestra comunidad siga participando.
THE FEAST DAY OF OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

July 16 is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
This year we want to start having more Carmel events in Spanish so that our community can participate.
The celebration started on the 7th with conversations about Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Order. It was a blessing that the Order of Secular Carmelites was able to participate in these conversations and information for our community, just like we had the opportunity to listen to Fr. Jose Luis, and his wisdom, in English and Spanish.
July 15 we had the procession like in years past; beginning at Food City and ending at Santa Cruz Church. Thank God we had a marvelous experience this year. The Spanish Order of the Secular Carmel has the standard/banner of the Virgen Mary of Carmen which was blessed and we were able to use in the procession like it is meant to be used. Thank you Casa Maria for donating the standard/banner.
And I can’t forget to mention another beautiful experience; Fr. Godfrey blessing the scapulars and the people participating around the altar, like one big family which we are.
It’s been amazing to see how, little by little, the Spanish speaking community is participating more each time we have a Carmel event.
The O.C.D.S. in Spanish hopes to have more events in Spanish so our community can continue to participate.
